Background
As part of the Google's Solution challenge, UVic’s Google Developer Student is holding a hackathon on digital accessibility and on the 4th UN sustainability and development goal for quality education for everyone.
Prompt: Provide a solution to support and enhance the educational experience for people with various learning differences or disabilities.
Important note: You are encouraged to specify which learning differences or disability you are building for.

Drawing upon your technical skills and personal experiences, design a software product or service that is accessible and accommodating to individuals with diverse learning needs and abilities. Consider how your solution can support and enhance the educational experience for people with various learning differences or physical disabilities. Potential user groups you might design for include, but are not limited to:

Barrier Reduction: Evaluate efforts to reduce barriers for underrepresented or marginalised communities, including language, cultural relevance, and ease of access.

Engagement Strategy: Look at how the product plans to reach and engage these diverse user groups effectively.

Problem Solving: Assess the significance of the problem being addressed for the target groups and how effectively the product solves this problem.

Measurable Outcomes: Evaluate the potential for measurable, positive change in the lives of the users, considering both short-term and long-term impacts.

Technical Judges:
Technical Skills: Level Technical implementation- /25 (do something in the back end rather than just prototype demo)

Implementation Complexity: Evaluate the complexity and sophistication of the technical implementation, including backend development, data handling, and integration of technologies.

Scalability and Security: Consider aspects of scalability and security, ensuring that the product can grow while protecting user data. Contestants would get higher marks in this section when they include the following: unit/ integration/ user testing, security scanning, CDN usage, high availability.

Platform and DevOps: Solution is available to be accessed from a URL, DevOps pipelines covering the basic principles of CI/CD.

Database design: Solution’s database designs must be appropriate to the problem statement and expected data.

UI/UX: Solution will be judged for ease of usage, intuitiveness, documentations and SOPs.
Originality: Clarity and originality of product/service - /25

Novelty: Assess the uniqueness of the product or service in addressing the identified problem, including the adoption of new approaches or technologies.

Clarity of Vision: Evaluate the clarity and coherence of the product vision, including how well the problem, solution, and impact are articulated.

Market Differentiation: Consider how the product or service differentiates itself from existing solutions in terms of features, effectiveness, or approach.
Submissions requirements

A video demo and presentation of your solution available on a YouTube link (You can unlist the video if you do not want anyone to view this video but us).
